There are four types of entrepreneurial knowledge concentrations or divisions: start-up business, socialpreneur, family business, and intrapreneur. Furthermore, USU FEB's Undergraduate Program in Entrepreneurship is unique in that it forms business groups in the first semester to design or launch Start Up Businesses that will be developed into Business Projects specifically for individuals and small groups. This is what distinguishes the study programs from other study programs at the university and in North Sumatra. Graduates of the Entrepreneurship Study Program will be able to start new firms with unique and creative ideas, demonstrate leadership, and be self-sufficient in building new businesses. There is also a Family Business that will be able to build a family business so that it can continue to survive from generation to generation by learning business management concepts up to a family business that is built with a professional business model, and creating SMEs to move up grades and be suitable with assistance from Entrepreneurship Study Program graduates. The Universitas Sumatera Utara's Undergraduate Program in Entrepreneurship focuses on MSMEs and SMEs, which are abundant in North Sumatra
