Assalamu'alaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh,, Greetings, Welcome to the Website of the Bachelor of Entrepreneurship Study Program, Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Sumatera Utara, Medan. Praise be to Allah Subhanahu wa ta'alah always bestows us with His favors and gifts, both the blessings of faith and the blessings of Islam, as well as the blessings of health wal'afiat, so that we can live this life without lacking anything. Not forgetting the Sholawat and greetings we convey to His Majesty the Prophet Muhammad Shallallahu Alaihi Wasallam, who is always a role model and we expect his intercession in the final yaumul. The Bachelor of Entrepreneurship Study Program is one of the Study Programs within the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Sumatera Utara. The S1 Entrepreneurship Study Program is a new study program that was formed in 2021 and began accepting new students in 2022. The planning of the Entrepreneurship Study Program was launched for a very long time, around 10 years ago. At that time it was still in the form of a Small Business Management Concentration in the Undergraduate Management Study Program in 2004. The concentration of Small Business Management at that time was a reasonably high choice at the time of concentration selection for students in Semesters 5 and 6. A few years later this concentration changed again to the attention of Entrepreneurship. Every year the number of students who take the Entrepreneurship concentration has increased. This also encourages lecturers who teach in the S1 Management Study Program to take the initiative in creating the S1 Entrepreneurship Study Program. The S1 Entrepreneurship Study Program is committed to producing independent young entrepreneurs based on science and competitiveness at the regional, national and international levels, this is in line with the vision of the entrepreneurship study program itself. The Bachelor of Entrepreneurship Study Program is also committed to producing entrepreneurship graduates called business scholars who are innovative, independent, creative, characterised, and highly competitive. This commitment is demonstrated through implementing a curriculum that is in accordance with SN-DIKTI standards, emphasising the unique competencies of young entrepreneurs. Graduates of the Bachelor of Entrepreneurship study program are not only equipped with broad and in-depth economic and business knowledge but are also equipped with knowledge and skills about entrepreneurship and information technology (IT). The rapid development of technology in the era of the industrial revolution 4.0 dramatically affects the dynamics of professional work changes that are increasingly competitive. The changing dynamics of the industrial revolution 4.0 integrated with information technology is essential for the USU Entrepreneurship S1 study program to produce graduates with relevant competencies at the level of competition. In addition, Indonesia's demographic potential is enormous for strengthening and developing productive and quality young entrepreneurs. The S1 Entrepreneurship Study Program seeks to form a large number of quality human resources (HR) so that it is feasible to become a source of strengthening and developing productive entrepreneurs among young people. This is a consideration for study programs to synergise expectations of industry needs by implementing information technology in every activity of the Tridharma of higher education within the USU Entrepreneurship S1 study program. Specifically, the implementation of information technology is shown through the teaching and learning process (PBM), which has used a digital system through other relevant information technology devices that provide ease of interaction between student lecturers. The knowledge transfer process is also supported by improving students' managerial skills through student involvement in service and research activities by lecturers. In addition, S1 Entrepreneurship students continue to be encouraged to become young entrepreneurs from the beginning of the lecture through business practices carried out. This is expected to benefit students in simulating the implementation of related theories in solving existing problems. The graduate profile developed by the Undergraduate Entrepreneurship Study Program is an individual who can create a business by applying innovative and creative ideas, leadership, and independent attitudes. The profile of graduates as entrepreneurs supported by the essence of entrepreneurial practice accompanied by information technology is expected to be able to provide strengthen the competitiveness of graduates in the era of revolution 4.0. The competitiveness of entrepreneurial abilities, supported by the use of information technology in academic activities, is expected to positively contribute to graduates accessing information and competing in entrepreneurship and the professional world of work. This is undoubtedly one of the critical factors in building the core competence of graduates in a technological era that tends to be more practical and dynamic. Special competencies developed by the Bachelor of Entrepreneurship study program are the ability to create ideas and innovations for entrepreneurship. Entrepreneurial competence is one of the core values developed in response to the increasingly strong development of business, especially small businesses as one of the pillars in developing the economy and opening up jobs in the future. This is certainly a consideration for the USU Entrepreneurship Bachelor of Science study program to be able to contribute to being an important pillar in developing the economy and entrepreneurship industry at a level of competition that tends to be increasingly dynamic and varied. In facing these challenges, the Bachelor of Entrepreneurship study program is continuously able to adapt to existing developments through curriculum design based on SN-DIKTI standards, the needs of graduate users, the development of human resources both lecturers and education staff, strengthening scientific studies and the use of technology, as well as developing student centered learning processes by emphasizing graduate competencies in the field of entrepreneurship. Thus, it is hoped that the journey of the Bachelor of Entrepreneurship Study Program, Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Sumatera Utara can produce graduates who are in line with the ideals of the institution and are able to compete in the job market and even create jobs, and participate in efforts to educate the nation's life through the tridharma of teaching, research and community service.
