The Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Sumatera Utara, issued Circular Letter Number 6890/UN5/D/FEB/KP.00.04/2026 concerning the Prohibition of the Implementation of Student Activities Off Campus as a follow-up to the university leadership's policy on the management of student activities. This policy was established to maintain the safety, security, order, and comfort of the entire academic community.
This provision is in line with Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 16: Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions, particularly in supporting the orderly governance of activities under institutional supervision.
All students and Student Organizations (Ormawa) of FEB USU are prohibited from organizing, facilitating, or attending student activities off campus, including inauguration ceremonies, student bonding activities (makrab), retreats, outbound activities, and similar activities.
All activities for welcoming new students, introducing study programs, and other student activities must be conducted within the campus environment (on-campus) with permission from and under the supervision of the Faculty Leadership. Violations of these provisions will be subject to disciplinary sanctions in accordance with applicable regulations.
