IAI North Sumatra Region and FEB USU Host Webinar on SAK EP Implementation for Accountants and Auditors
The Indonesian Institute of Accountants (IAI) North Sumatra Region, in collaboration with the Master’s Program in Accounting, Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Sumatera Utara (FEB USU), organized a webinar titled “Comprehensive Discussion on SAK EP: Practical Guidance for Accountants and Auditors.”
The webinar was conducted online via Zoom Meeting on Wednesday, October 8, 2025. SAK EP (Financial Accounting Standards for Private Entities) is a financial reporting standard designed to guide private entities in preparing financial statements. With its implementation, accountants and auditors are expected to have a strong understanding of its concepts, applications, and implications in financial reporting practices.
The event featured Prof. Dr. Ahalik, SE, Ak, M.Si, M.Ak, CPA, CPSAK, CPMA, ASEAN CPA, CA, QRMA as the keynote speaker. The session was moderated by Dr. Asen Susanto, SE, M.Si, Ak, CA, CPA, ASEAN CPA, CertIPSAS, CTP, and officially opened by Prof. Erlina, SE, M.Si, Ak, CA, CMA, CPA, CSRS, CSRA, CIPSAS, Chair of IAI North Sumatra Region.
The webinar aimed to provide accountants, auditors, academics, and students with a comprehensive understanding of SAK EP implementation, as well as best practices in financial reporting and auditing in accordance with the latest standards. Through this activity, participants gained valuable insights into improving the quality and reliability of financial reporting in both professional and academic contexts.
This initiative aligns with Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 4: Quality Education by enhancing professional and academic competencies in accounting and auditing. It also supports SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals through collaboration between Ikatan Akuntan Indonesia and Universitas Sumatera Utara, involving both academic experts and professional practitioners in advancing accounting standards and knowledge exchange.
