Dr. Wahyu Ario Pratomo, S.E., M.Ec., a lecturer from the Development Economics Study Program, Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Sumatera Utara (FEB USU), served as a speaker at an event discussing the role of Non-State Actors (NSAs) in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The event provided a platform to strengthen understanding of the importance of involving various stakeholders beyond the government in supporting the achievement of sustainable development targets.
In his presentation, Dr. Wahyu Ario Pratomo discussed the strategic role of NSAs in supporting the implementation of the SDGs. The involvement of businesses, higher education institutions, civil society organizations, communities, and other stakeholders is an important part of expanding support and strengthening collaboration to achieve sustainable development targets.
The discussion on the role of NSAs also emphasized the importance of synergy between the government and various development actors. Such collaboration is necessary to ensure that the implementation of the SDGs is not solely the responsibility of the government, but rather a shared agenda involving all elements of society according to their respective capacities and contributions.
