FEB USU Guest Lecturers from Malaysia will provide Digital Marketing training using the TikTok Application to MSME business actors

FEB USU collaborates with Universiti Teknologi MARA Cawangan Kelantan Malaysia in terms of inviting guest lecturers and conducting international community service by inviting Kelab Prime Mover UiTM Cawangan Kelantan to provide studies on "Operations Research and its Applications in Real Life" as well as training provided by UiTM Cawangan Kelantan students who are members of Kelab Prime Mover on Digital Marketing (Use of TikTok Application as digital marketing).

The activity began at 09.00 WIB with a series of events in the form of Remarks given by the Dean of FEB USU, Mr. Dr. Fadli, S.E., M.Si. and the Advisor of Kelab Prime Mover UiTM Cawangan Kelantan who is the Guest Lecturer Talk Speaker, Mrs. Dr. Nazhatul Sahima Mohd Yusoff gave material entitled "Operations Research and Its Applications in Real Life". She explained the research that has been done together with UiTM Cawangan Kelantan students about "Strategic Planning of Current and Future Resources Planning at Husm's Inpatient Department by using Hybrid Methods" by producing a dynamic simulation model to predict the number of patients and resources for the next ten years in the inpatient department at Husm's and can help the community in providing more efficient and effective treatment services in a hybrid manner.

Then, the event continued with joint international service activities attended by several USU Faculty of Economics and Business study programs, including the Undergraduate Entrepreneurship Study Program, Undergraduate Management, Undergraduate Accounting, Undergraduate Development Economics, Master of Management and Property Valuation and Master of Management Science. The activity occurred with 21 MSMEs and 20 S-1 and S-2 FEB USU students as participants. The material was given by Kelab Prime Mover UiTM Cawangan Kelantan students about the Principles of Digital Marketing, specifically using the TikTok application. They explained that digital marketing is needed in today's industrial revolution era. MSMEs need to implement a marketing strategy using the 7P strategy: Product, Price, Place, Promotion, Physical Evidence, Process, and People. By implementing the 7P's strategy, MSMEs can increase sales and expand market access to the community. The participants who attended were also taught hands-on practice using the TikTok application as a digital marketing medium. By using the current application that is in great demand by many people, the products or businesses marketed through Tiktok will be more widespread and known by many people, especially current Tiktok users who are the younger generation.

The activity was closed by the Head of the Undergraduate Entrepreneurship Study Program as the chairman of the activity organizer, Prof. Dr Ritha F. Dalimunthe, S.E., M.Si. This activity aims to increase academics' interest and ability in conducting research and community service, which researchers and beneficiaries can apply as a form of the Tridarma of higher education.

With the implementation of this activity, it is hoped that MSME players and students who have businesses will be more adept at digital marketing and be able to make their businesses develop and be sustainable.
