The Faculty of Economics and Business of Universitas Sumatera Utara (FEB USU) held an Introduction to Campus Life for New Students (PPKMB) event on August 13-15, 2024 at the Prof. Dr. Suhadji Hadibroto Hall Courtyard. All new students from the Accounting, Management, Development Economics, and Entrepreneurship study programs attended this event.
This introduction to campus life for the FEB USU new students activity began on the first day by collecting all new USU students at the Mini Stadium. The opening ceremony, entitled “Embracing The Future, Advancing Together,” was attended by 7,350 new students from various faculties at USU. After that, new FEB students were directed to gather in the Prof. Dr. Suhadji Hadibroto Hall Courtyard, where they followed a series of introductory materials for their respective faculties and study programs.
In his speech, the Dean of FEB USU, Dr. Fadli, SE, M.Si., officially opened the 2024 introduction of campus life for FEB USU new students event. In his speech, he introduced the ranks of the dean and study program officials in the FEB environment while expressing hope that new students can adapt quickly and take an active role in developing a dynamic academic environment at FEB USU.
Not only filled with academic introduction material, the introduction of campus life for FEB USU new students 2024 was also enlivened with various interesting activities. One of the most awaited moments was a special performance by singer Aziz Hedra, who amazed the participants. In addition, this event was also coloured by various creative competitions in the “Battle Talent” event. This competition involved new students with talents in various fields, such as becoming Master of Ceremony (MC), creating FEB Mars, speaking in English, and listening to music. This activity was a talent show and a means to strengthen the sense of togetherness and competitive spirit among new students.
With the end of this series of introductions of campus life for FEB USU new students 2024 activities, it is hoped that all new FEB USU students can be better prepared to face challenges in the world of lectures and be able to contribute to the progress of FEB USU and the Universitas Sumatera Utara as a whole.
