The Alumni Association of the Faculty of Economics & Business of Universitas Sumatera Utara (IKAFEB USU) again held a classy event, "Ikafebusu People Capability Training Series (IPCTS)" on Saturday, May 4, 2024.
The event which took place at Lake Toba Hall, Menara Mandiri, Jalan Pulau Pinang was attended by 203 participants from various universities in Medan.
IPCTS is a flagship program that aims to improve the capacity of students and alumni 'fresh graduates' through life skills and soft skills training.
Chairman of the IPCTS Committee Batch III, Emi Wakhyuni, said that the theme of IPCTS this time is "Precise Strategy for Job Applicant", which is considered very relevant in line with the implementation of "BUMN Joint Recruitment 2024".
Not only involving FEB USU students, IPCTS this time also invited students from State Universities (PTN) and Private Universities (PTS) in Medan City.
The event was also opened by the Dean of FEB USU Dr. Fadli, S.E, M.Si who expressed his appreciation to the participants.
"We also appreciate the enthusiasm of participants who showed commitment and desire to prepare themselves to enter the world of work. We also thank you for IKAFEB USU's attention in increasing the capacity of 'fresh graduate' students and alumni through IPCTS," he said.
The Dean of FEB USU also thanked IKAFEB USU for holding the activity.
In the first session, Ade Marina Dwitasari (Assistant Vice President of Talent Acquisition Bank Mandiri) delivered the material "Crafting Your Perfect CV &; Unlocking Your Interview Success", which also included a simulation of interview practice.
The second session was presented by Liston Simanjuntak, SE. Ak, MBA (Finance Director of PT Askrindo, and Head of Career Development Ikafebusu) with the material "From Here to There", which emphasizes the importance of having a 'Player' and 'Learner' mentality for students who want to succeed in their careers.
The last session was delivered by Agus Dwi Handaya, SE, Ak, MBA, (Director of Compliance & Human Capital of Bank Mandiri, as well as Chairman of IKAFEB USU) with the material "Elevate Your Early Through Excellent Preparation", which discussed six important skills and attitudes for success in career.
