🏆 Mastermind Team of FEB USU Wins Best Rookie Team at HSBC Indonesia Business Case Competition 2025

The Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Sumatera Utara (FEB USU), has once again achieved national recognition. At the prestigious HSBC Indonesia Business Case Competition 2025, FEB USU’s delegate team, Mastermind Team, was awarded Best Rookie Team, outperforming five other newcomer teams from universities across Indonesia.

This achievement demonstrates the ability of FEB USU students to compete and excel on the national stage. Through strong analytical thinking, innovative business strategy development, and outstanding teamwork, the Mastermind Team delivered an impressive performance that earned recognition from the judging panel.

Members of the Mastermind Team:

  • Hilmi Muthahhari Situmorang – Undergraduate Program in Management
  • Daffa Rizky Hervindo – Undergraduate Program in Entrepreneurship
  • Aulia Azzahra Putri – Undergraduate Program in Accounting
  • Bintang Efraim Siboro – Undergraduate Program in Development Economics

The team’s success was supported by the guidance of Inggrita Gusti Sari Nasution, a faculty member of FEB USU who served as the team’s coach. The students also received valuable mentorship from Indra Sulistio and Iman Suryadi, whose expertise helped strengthen the team’s critical thinking, strategic communication, and data-driven business innovation skills.

The HSBC Indonesia Business Case Competition is one of the most competitive business case challenges in the country, requiring participants to solve real-world business issues through strategic, analytical, and creative approaches. The competition provides an excellent platform for students to develop leadership, presentation, and teamwork skills while addressing complex business challenges.

This accomplishment aligns with FEB USU’s commitment to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4 (Quality Education) by fostering student excellence, innovation, and practical learning experiences.
