Medan – The Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Sumatera Utara (FEB USU), organized the Like It! SBR015 activity as part of efforts to improve students' financial literacy and understanding of investment and financial management in the digital era. The activity was held on Thursday, October 1, 2026, at the Prof. Suhadji Hadibroto Hall, FEB USU.
The Like It! SBR015 activity served as an educational platform for students to gain a better understanding of investment instruments, particularly Government Securities (SBN), as well as the importance of developing responsible financial management habits from an early stage. Through this activity, students were encouraged not only to understand investment concepts theoretically but also to recognize opportunities, risks, and principles for making appropriate financial decisions.
Amid the rapid development of digital technology, public access to various financial information and products has become increasingly easy. This condition needs to be balanced with adequate financial literacy so that the younger generation can make financial decisions carefully and responsibly, in accordance with their respective needs and financial capabilities.
The implementation of Like It! SBR015 also formed part of FEB USU's contribution to providing financial education to students as the younger generation who will play a role in economic development. The activity is expected to broaden students' insights into investment and financial management while fostering awareness of planning their financial conditions in a more structured manner.
Through educational activities such as Like It! SBR015, FEB USU continues to encourage the development of students with sound financial knowledge and awareness, who are adaptive to developments in the digital economy and able to apply responsible financial management principles in their daily lives.
The Like It! SBR015 activity aligns with SDG 4: Quality Education through improving students' knowledge and financial literacy as part of learning that is relevant to the needs of life and the world of work, as well as SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth by encouraging the younger generation's understanding of financial management and investment that can support economic readiness and inclusive and sustainable economic growth.
