The service team from the Development Economic Study Program, Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) USU carried out service and collaborated with Sekolah Indonesia Bangkok (SIB) Thailand on Monday, October 16, 2023, related to improving students' soft skills in the form of financial management skills and hard skills in using Microsoft Excel software.
The visit was intended in the context of International Community Service activities, and was led by the Head of the Postgraduate Economics Study Program at the Universitas Sumatera Utara, Prof. Dr.lic.rer.reg. Sirojuzilam Hasyim SE, along with 13 Lecturers and 4 Students. This visit was held at the Indonesian Embassy in Bangkok (SIB) in Bangkok.
This activity is in the form of socialization about financial literacy in the form of an understanding of excel for junior high and high school, as well as games and story-telling for elementary school students. The learning method used in the project-based learning training and interactive discussions.
During the training, he said, students are allowed to ask about features that have not been understood. The final evaluation was carried out through the final results of the worksheet and question and answer activities.
