The event aimed to introduce the halal concept and promote Indonesian halal culture and cuisine to the academic community of Osaka University and the Japanese public. The opening ceremony was attended by USU lecturers including Prof. Dr. Endang Sulistya Rini, SE., M.Si., Prof. Dr. Yeni Absah, SE., M.Si., and Faisal Eriza, S.Sos., M.Si., along with lecturers from other collaborating universities.

The community service activity took the form of a halal Indonesian cooking demonstration, featuring dishes such as rendang kerang (clam rendang), gulai ikan kakap (snapper curry), sambal teri (anchovy chili paste), tekwan (fish ball soup), and es cendol (traditional iced dessert). The event took place at Comm Café, located near Osaka University. The prepared dishes were then enjoyed together by members of the academic community and the general public, accompanied by a review and informal discussion session on the flavors and the concept of Indonesian halal cuisine.

Meanwhile, the international seminar was held in the seminar room of the Graduate School of Human Science, Osaka University, with main topics including the halal concept, halal tourism, and other globally relevant themes on the development of halal studies. The event concluded with a halal dinner reception hosted by Osaka University as a symbol of friendship and harmonious international collaboration.
