The Ministry of Finance through the Directorate General of Budgeting and Financial Balance visited the Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) by organizing a public lecture through the Budget Goes to Campus program. Speakers in this activity included the Director of State Budget Preparation, Directorate General of Budget of the Ministry of Finance, Mr. Rofyanto Kurniawan S.T., M.B.A., Ph.D, Head of Policy Harmonization and Public Relations, Directorate General of Financial Balance of the Ministry of Finance, Mr. Kindy Rinaldy Syahrir and Academician from the Faculty of Economics and Business, University of North Sumatra, Drs. Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) USU, Dr. Fadli S.E, M.Si., explained that this activity is an effort by the government to socialize increasing knowledge to the academic community and students about how to prepare and allocate the State Budget of the Republic of Indonesia. The Dean of FEB hopes that the socialization can be analyzed critically and positively.

"Through this activity, it is hoped that financial literacy inclusion will be more widely accepted so that as I said earlier in my opening remarks, this negative stigma can be reduced and we can provide more positive input and criticism in the preparation and distribution of this State Budget for a better Indonesia."

Dr. Fadli S.E., M.Si., also explained through this activity that the State Budget is also allocated to the budget of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology whose implementation focuses on human resource and infrastructure development programs in the field of education such as allocations for scholarship programs from the government aimed at improving the quality of education in the future.

The session continued with the exchange of plaques between the Ministry of Finance and the Faculty of Economics and Business USU as the host, a group photo and a transition to the moderator of seminars and public lectures. The public lecture session was accompanied by ice breaking with interesting games from the Directorate General of Budget Team of the Ministry of Finance. Participants are getting more enthusiastic and fresher to follow the material next. The enthusiasm of the participants was increasingly seen with the lively discussion from eight participants from lecturers and students who actively participated in the discussion.
