Medan – The Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB), Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU), has received a notification from the Directorate of Academic Infrastructure Management regarding the use of communal spaces within FEB USU. The notification is stipulated in Letter Number 27710/UN5/Dir/DiPIA/PL/2026, dated October 20, 2026, in response to the Dean of FEB USU’s letter Number 7741/UN5/D/FEB/TR.01.00/2026, dated October 9, 2026, concerning the forwarding of a request for permission to use FEB USU’s communal space.

The notification states that all buildings and facilities must be used in accordance with their designated purposes and the faculty’s master plan. The faculty leadership is also required to refer to the letter issued by the Vice Rector for Planning, Infrastructure, and Business, Number 25080/UN5/WR4/R4/TR.02/2026, dated October 7, 2026, concerning orderliness, cleanliness, aesthetics, and safety within the USU campus environment.

To support student entrepreneurship activities, the use of the USU UMKM Square Building may be coordinated with the Directorate of Commercialization, Business, and Risk Management of Universitas Sumatera Utara. This initiative is expected to facilitate the development of student entrepreneurship through the appropriate use of university facilities.

Through this notification, FEB USU encourages all members of its academic community to comply with the regulations governing communal spaces, maintain orderliness, cleanliness, aesthetics, and safety across the campus, and ensure that university facilities are used in accordance with their designated purposes.
