National Public Holidays and Collective Leave for the Year 2026

Following the Rector of Universitas Sumatera Utara’s Letter Number 233436/UN5.1.R/HK/2025 dated 28 December 2025 regarding National Public Holidays and Collective Leave for the Year 2026, the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Sumatera Utara (FEB USU), hereby informs all members of the academic community that the list of National Public Holidays and Collective Leave for 2026 has been officially established based on the Joint Decree of the Minister of Religious Affairs, the Minister of Manpower, and the Minister of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform of the Republic of Indonesia Number 1497 of 2025, Number 2 of 2025, and Number 5 of 2025.

 

In this regard, all academic activities and administrative services within FEB USU are required to adjust the implementation of lectures, academic agendas, and administrative services in accordance with the established national holiday and collective leave calendar. Members of the FEB USU academic community are expected to use this provision as a reference in preparing activity schedules throughout the year 2026.

 

The complete list of National Public Holidays and Collective Leave for the year 2026, as stated in the circular letter, includes New Year’s Day, Isra and Mi’raj, Lunar New Year (Chinese New Year), Nyepi (Day of Silence), Eid al-Fitr, the Death of Jesus Christ (Good Friday), the Resurrection of Jesus Christ (Easter), International Workers’ Day, the Ascension of Jesus Christ, Eid al-Adha, Vesak Day, Pancasila Day, Islamic New Year, the Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia, the Birthday of the Prophet Muhammad (Maulid Nabi Muhammad SAW), as well as Christmas Day and the associated collective leave.
