Schedule of National Holidays and Collective Leave 2025

Following the Joint Decree of the Minister of Religious Affairs, Minister of Manpower, and Minister of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform of the Republic of Indonesia regarding National Holidays and Collective Leave for 2025, Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) has established the following holiday schedule:
 

  1. January 1, 2025 (Wednesday): New Year of 2025
  2. January 27-29, 2025 (Monday-Wednesday): Isra Mikraj of Prophet Muhammad SAW & Chinese New Year 2576
  3. March 28-31, 2025 (Friday-Monday): Nyepi Holy Day & Eid al-Fitr 1446 H
  4. April 1-7, 2025 (Tuesday-Monday): Eid al-Fitr 1446 H
  5. April 18-20, 2025 (Friday-Sunday): Good Friday & Easter Sunday
  6. May 1-30, 2025 (Thursday-Friday): Labor Day, Vesak, and Ascension of Jesus Christ
  7. June 1, 2025 (Sunday): Pancasila Day
  8. June 6-27, 2025: Eid al-Adha & Islamic New Year
  9. August 17, 2025 (Sunday): Indonesian Independence Day
  10. September 5, 2025 (Friday): Prophet Muhammad's Birthday (Maulid)
  11. December 25-26, 2025 (Thursday-Friday): Christmas

Furthermore, the arrangement of national holidays and collective leave indirectly supports SDG 1 (No Poverty) and SDG 2 (Zero Hunger) by fostering social well-being within the university community. It also reflects the commitment of higher education institutions to work in synergy with government policies, contributing to SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) through collaboration in implementing national initiatives that support sustainable development.
