The FEB USU Accounting Science Master / Doctoral Study Program has carried out Thesis and Dissertation Writing Workshop activities from Friday to Sunday, October 13-15, 2023, with a venue at Samosir Villa Cottage, Samosir Island.
FEB USU Accounting Master/Doctoral Study Program chaired by Prof. Erlina, S.E., M.Si, Ph.D., Ak., CA, CPA, CMA, IPSAS has carried out Thesis and Dissertation Writing Workshop activities which were held on Friday to Sunday 13-15 October 2023 with a place at Samosir Villa Cottage, Samosir Island which was attended by 80 participants of Master / Doctoral Accounting students. In addition, it was also attended by lecturers of the Master / Doctoral Accounting Study Program FEB USU. The activity invited third-semester students from both master and doctoral study programs. This activity presented a resource person, Prof. Dr. Husaini, S.E., M.Si., Ak., CA, CRP, who is a Professor of Financial Accounting at the Accounting Study Program, Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Bengkulu and also as the Rector of Universitas Dahasen, Bengkulu. The Secretary of the Doctoral Program in Accounting FEB USU, Prof. Dr. Iskandar Muda, SE, M.Si, Ak, CA, CRP, CSRA, CSRS, IPSAS, CPA, opened the workshop. This workshop emphasized the importance of compiling a thesis/dissertation, including preparing an introduction, which included finding novelty theoretical and practical gaps. In addition, it also explained how to compile a literature review, which includes emerging grand theory, middle theory and applied theory. In addition, the speaker also explained the methodology, results and discussion and drew conclusions and recommendations. At the end of the material, a simulation of presenting a dissertation proposal was carried out by Mr Adi Putra Sinambela and a thesis proposal by Fenny Julistine Tarigan, to which the participants and presenters responded.
