The Undergraduate Economic Development Study Program, Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Sumatera Utara (FEB USU) held a Student Economics Workshop themed 'Understanding Basic Macroeconomic Concepts' on 22 May 2024 at Soehadji Hadibroto Hall, FEB USU. The event was held to deepen students' understanding of macroeconomic concepts that affect government policies and economic conditions.
The workshop explored various important topics in macroeconomics, including market theory, fiscal and monetary policy, and the impact of global economic policy on the national economy. It also covers global economic trends and challenges faced in the international economy. Students were invited to understand how economic policies affect inflation, unemployment, and overall economic growth.
This activity was attended by around 200 students of the undergraduate economic development study program. The event was opened by the Secretary of the Study Program, who gave a speech before the start of the material presentation session from experts in the field of economics.
The main objective of this workshop is to provide students with a deep understanding of macroeconomics as the basis for economic analysis and policymaking. The workshop was designed for students to understand the impact of economic policies on a national and international scale and to develop analytical skills to analyze financial data and trends.
This event occurred on Wednesday, 22 May 2024, from 8 AM to 1 PM at Soehadji Hadibroto Hall, FEB USU. The activity began with participant registration and continued with remarks and material presentation sessions. After the presentation, the event continued with an interactive question-and-answer session that allowed students to ask questions directly to the speakers. This activity was closed with a group photo of all participants and organizers.
This workshop is expected to benefit students in the long term by helping them understand the economy comprehensively and contribute effectively to society.
