Penang, January 29, 2026 — The Undergraduate Program in Management of Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) collaborated with the Indonesian Students Association at Universiti Sains Malaysia (PPI USM) to organize an international community service activity titled “PLS-SEM/AMOS Analysis in Academic Research,” held at The Bricks USM. The activity was attended by 22 participants from the Undergraduate Program in Managementof USU and PPI USM.
The event was opened with remarks from the Head of the Undergraduate Program in Management of USU, Prof. Dr. Khaira Amalia Fachrudin, SE, Ak, MBA, who emphasized the importance of mastering advanced quantitative analysis methods to improve the quality of students’ research. Remarks were also delivered by the Chair of PPI USM, Arsitek Aphandic Duvadilan, who appreciated this collaboration as a form of cross-institutional academic synergy and expressed plans to collaborate again with the Undergraduate Program in Management of USU in the future.
The material was presented by Mr. Ishbir Mujahid Adha, S.E., M.Si., who explained the basic concepts, stages of analysis, and interpretation of PLS-SEM and AMOS results in academic research. The session was interactive, featuring discussions on the application of these methods in scientific writing, and concluded with a group photo.
This activity reflects the commitment of the Undergraduate Program in Management of USU to strengthening students’ methodological capacity and expanding International academic collaboration networks in the future.
