Students of Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) have once again achieved an outstanding accomplishment at the national level. Team Andale, consisting of Dira Riyani, Atiqa Zhakira Syahrul, and Arya Dwi Ardhana Wibowo, won second place in the Business Creation category at the 2026 Business Management Network Competition (BMNC).
In the competition, Team Andale presented Andalé Coffee, an innovative coffee product that combines Arabica coffee, Robusta coffee, and andaliman, a distinctive spice from North Sumatra. This innovation represents a creative effort to transform the potential of local commodities into value-added products that are competitive in the market.
Through product development and the use of digital technology, Team Andale seeks to expand Andalé Coffee's marketing reach to the national level. This idea demonstrates students' ability to integrate creativity, entrepreneurship, and the utilization of regional potential to create innovative business opportunities.
This achievement reflects the spirit of USU students in developing their competencies, generating innovations, and contributing to economic growth through entrepreneurship. It also aligns with Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 4: Quality Education, through the development of students' skills and creativity, and SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth, through the development of innovative businesses based on the potential of local commodities.
Congratulations to Team Andale on this achievement. May this accomplishment inspire other USU students to continue creating, innovating, and bringing honor to the university at the national level.
