The 2026 FMI activities were held on 20–22 October 2026 in Surabaya and Batu, East Java, involving academics, researchers, and practitioners from various universities across Indonesia. This series of activities served as a platform for exchanging knowledge, sharing experiences, presenting research findings, and strengthening networks and collaboration among universities.

The activities began with a Community Service program in Probolinggo, followed by a workshop entitled “Sharing Session on Lecturer Research Grants: Topic Selection, Proposal Preparation, and Funding Management.” The program continued with a national seminar, scientific article presentations through the Call for Papers session, an awards ceremony, and a closing session.

Through these activities, participants gained insights into lecturer research development, organizational transformation strategies, the utilization of Artificial Intelligence (AI), innovation, and strengthening competitiveness in response to the dynamics of global business. In addition, the Community Service activities included visits to several business units in Probolinggo and Batu as a form of academic contribution through knowledge sharing and support for the development of local community businesses.

The participation of the Head of the Undergraduate Program in Management, FEB USU, in this event was one of the efforts to expand academic networks, strengthen institutional relations, and create opportunities for collaboration with various universities and practitioners in the field of management. This participation also supports the implementation of the Three Pillars of Higher Education (Tridharma Perguruan Tinggi), particularly in education, research, and community service.

This activity aligns with Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 17: Partnerships for the Goals, through the strengthening of partnerships and collaboration among universities, academics, and practitioners to support the advancement of knowledge and sustainable development.

Through its participation in the 2026 FMI activities, the Undergraduate Program in Management, FEB USU, is expected to continue expanding academic cooperation, improving the quality of the Three Pillars of Higher Education, and building strategic partnerships that benefit both the institution and society.
