This activity was organized as an effort to enhance students’ understanding of the rapidly evolving digital economy and the ongoing transformation of the national financial system. Through this public lecture, students gained insights into innovations in digital payment systems, risk management within modern financial ecosystems, and the importance of creativity and innovation in supporting digital economic growth.

The event, attended by approximately 280 students, was conducted in an interactive and enthusiastic atmosphere. In addition to lecture sessions, students also participated in various games and group discussions using a gamification approach designed to enhance active engagement. Through these activities, students were encouraged to collaborate in teams, solve simple case studies related to digital payment systems, and develop critical and creative thinking skills.

The lecture environment was dynamic and educational, where students not only gained theoretical knowledge but also experienced practical and enjoyable learning activities. This event is expected to broaden students’ perspectives on the development of the digital financial industry while preparing a young generation that is adaptive to technological changes and modern economic systems.

The Undergraduate Management Study Program, Faculty of Economics and Business Universitas Sumatera Utara (Fakultas Ekonomi dan Bisnis Universitas Sumatera Utara), expressed appreciation and gratitude to the Bank Indonesia Representative Office of North Sumatra for its support and contribution to the implementation of this public lecture.

It is hoped that the collaboration between academia and financial institutions will continue to strengthen in order to support the development of student competencies in the future.
