The Dean of the USU Faculty of Economics and Business, Dr. Fadli, S.E., M.Si was also present and opened the training activities held at the Lecturer Meeting Room on the 2nd floor of FEB USU. The facilitators in this activity were Mrs. Hanyatunufus and Wida Akasah who provided training and assistance, starting from cleaning up the google scholar accounts of USU lecturers, ensuring that they are affiliated with USU email, obtaining Scopus ID, Garuda ID, ORCID ID, and WoS ID which are needed to update the SINTA data entries of FEB USU lecturers. Updating this data is very important for the achievement of USU IKU, especially in IKU 5 which relates to the recognition of lecturers' work.
"The main obstacle that lecturers often encounter is forgetting accounts, forgetting passwords and even forgetting emails" conveyed by Ishbir Mujahid Adha, S.E., M.Si to the activity facilitator. In an effort to solve these problems, lecturers can contact the Sinta USU helpdesk via the email provided. In the event of problems updating SINTA data, the Universitas Sumatera Utara team will always be ready to help USU lecturers.
In updating lecturer data, it is necessary to synchronize it periodically by the lecturer concerned. "Lecturers can submit data synchronization once every week". Therefore, if there are new publications that have not been registered in SINTA, they can be updated by synchronizing. This activity was attended by 30 lecturers of FEB USU. Through the implementation of training and mentoring activities, it is hoped that FEB USU will further support the IKU of the Universitas Sumatera Utara.
