To internationalize, the undergraduate management program of the Faculty of Economics and Business of Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) visited Thuyloy University, Southern Campus, Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam, on November 6, 2023. The delegation that visited was Prof. Dr. Khaira Amalia Fachrudin, SE. Ak., MBA, CA, MAPPI (Cert) as the Head of the FEB USU Management Undergraduate Study Program, Secretary of the Study Program, Muhammad Arif Lubis, SE, M.Si and Study Program Lecturers, Ance Marintan D. Sitohang, SP, M. Div., M. Th., and Andrew Satria Lubis, SE, M.Si.
The main event of this visit was the ceremonial signing of the Memorandum of Understanding between universities, the Memorandum of Agreement between Faculties, and the Implementation of Agreement between Study Programs attended by academics from Thuyloy University. In addition, the head of the undergraduate management study program of FEB USU also explained the summer course activities of the undergraduate management study program, which will be held in August 2024. Lecturers and students from Thuyloy University looked very enthusiastic.
Furthermore, on November 7, 2023, the Head of the Study Program, Secretary of the Study Program, and three other management lecturers also visited Small and Medium Enterprises there, including handicraft businesses from eggshells and shells made into paintings, vases, glasses, etc.
In connection with that, the Study Program also visited the honey business and its derivative products, as well as the business of making perfume and cosmetic raw materials from coconut.
Hopefully, an international cooperation relationship between the Universitas Sumatera Utara and Thuyloy University in Vietnam can improve the reputation of FEB USU's undergraduate management program in the global academy.
