The Undergraduate in Management Study Program, Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Sumatera Utara hosted the Sumatra International Management and Business Conference (SIM-BC) themed Sustainable Management on Monday, September 30, 2024, along with Universitas Jambi, Universitas Sriwijaya, and Universitas Syiah Kuala

The Undergraduate in Management Study Program, Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Sumatera Utara is hosting the Sumatra International Management and Business Conference (SIM-BC) themed Sustainable Management on Monday, September 30, 2024, along with Universitas Jambi, Universitas Sriwijaya, and Universitas Syiah Kuala. These four study programs are members of the Indonesian Management and Business Study Program Alliance (APSMBI) and organized this conference as a Sumatra regional APSMBI activity.

Head of the undergraduate in management study program of FEB USU, Prof. Dr. Khaira Amalia Fachrudin, SE. Ak., MBA, CA, MAPPI (Cert), who is also the coordinator of the Sumatra regional APSMBI, said that this conference also held a Call for Papers with participants from within and outside the country.

The activity, which 197 participants attended, began with the opening, seminars from keynote speakers, and the presentation of 49 papers in parallel.  

Welcome speeches were made by Prof. Dr. Khaira Amalia Fachrudin and then continued by Dr. Muhammad Ichsan Hadjri, chairman of the APSMBI National Executive Board. Furthermore, the event was opened by Dr. Ulil Hartono, SE, M.Si, as the Supervisory Board of APSMBI.   Keynote speakers consisted of Prof. Dr. Zahri Bin Hamat (University Sains Malaysia), Dr. Sheetal Thomas (Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India), Dr. Sanju Kumar Singh (Tribhuvan University), and Naseer Ahmed, PhD. (University of Haripur Pakistan), Jamshaid Ahmed (International Undergraduate Student from Universitas Jambi, Indonesia), Ade Pranajaya (International Doctoral Student from Iqra University, Pakistan), Muhammad Andi Abdillah Triono (International Doctoral Student from the University of Limerick). Dr. Musnaini (Jambi University) and Dr. Muhammad Ichsan Hadjri (Sriwijaya University) acted as moderators for the main session.  

SIM-BC provides many benefits, among them improving the international academic atmosphere for APSMBI members so that all can excel, as APSMBI's slogan states "Unggul Bersama".
