The Master’s and Doctoral Programs in Accounting of FEB USU Holds Thesis and Dissertation Writing Workshop

The Master’s and Doctoral Programs in Accounting at the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Sumatera Utara (FEB USU), organized a Thesis and Dissertation Writing Workshop on Friday, November 8, 2024, at the Prof. Dr. Suhadji Hadibroto Hall, FEB USU. The workshop aimed to enhance students’ ability to produce high-quality academic research that meets postgraduate academic standards.

 

 

The workshop featured Prof. Dr. Abdul Halim, M.B.A., Ak., CA as the keynote speaker. He delivered sessions on research proposal development, including problem formulation, research framework design, data collection techniques, data analysis, and academic writing for theses and dissertations.

 

 

The event was attended by lecturers and postgraduate students from the Master’s and Doctoral Accounting programs. During the discussion session, participants explored common challenges faced by students in selecting research topics, collecting data, and preparing structured and academically sound research reports.

 

 

According to the Head of the Master’s and Doctoral Programs in Accounting, Prof. Erlina, SE., M.Si., Ph.D., Ak., CA., CMA, the workshop was expected to help students improve the quality of their research and motivate them to complete their studies in a timely manner.

 

Through this activity, the master’s and doctoral programs in accounting at FEB USU reaffirm their commitment to strengthening students’ research capabilities and contributing to the advancement of accounting knowledge.
