The Master’s and Doctoral Programs in Accounting at the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Sumatera Utara (FEB USU), organized a Tax Accounting Concentration Seminar on Saturday, May 17, 2025, at the Prof. Dr. Suhadji Hadibroto Hall, FEB USU. The seminar aimed to provide postgraduate students with a comprehensive introduction to the tax accounting concentration.
The seminar featured two speakers, Dr. Asen Susanto, SE., M.Si., Ak., CA., CPA., CTP and Meilani, S.E., M.Si., BKP, who discussed various aspects of taxation in accounting practice. Topics included the integration of taxation within corporate transactions, tax obligations, and the relationship between tax regulations, financial reporting, and managerial decision-making.
The event was attended by lecturers, students, and alumni of the Master’s and Doctoral Accounting Programs at FEB USU. The seminar also served as an orientation session, providing students with a clear overview of the academic scope and practical relevance of the tax accounting concentration.
Through this seminar, students are expected to gain a strong foundational understanding that will help them make informed decisions when selecting their academic concentration and preparing for professional careers in taxation.
