The Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Sumatera Utara (FEB USU), once again achieved notable recognition at the USU Award 2025, held at the Student Center of Universitas Sumatera Utara on 9 December 2025. This annual appreciation event serves as a platform to honor academic and non-academic achievements of the university’s academic community. On this occasion, FEB USU received several prestigious awards as recognition of the faculty’s performance, lecturers’ contributions, and study programs’ achievements in enhancing educational quality.
At the USU Award 2025, FEB USU was awarded as the faculty with the highest number of student achievements. This recognition reflects the high level of productivity and contributions made by FEB USU students across a wide range of academic and non-academic competitions at regional, national, and international levels. This achievement demonstrates the continuous growth of a strong achievement-oriented culture within FEB USU, fostered through consistent student development, cross-unit collaboration, and comprehensive support from lecturers and administrative staff in strengthening students’ capacity and competitiveness.
In addition to student achievements, FEB USU also received an award in the category of Best Author in the Social Sciences and Humanities, presented to Prof. Dr. Ritha F. Dalimunthe, SE., M.Si. This award represents recognition of her academic contributions and impactful scholarly publications, particularly in the field of social sciences and humanities. This accomplishment further affirms FEB USU’s commitment to cultivating a strong and relevant academic tradition that contributes meaningfully to the advancement of knowledge and society.
On the same occasion, FEB USU was also recognized for its achievements in both international and national accreditation. The Bachelor’s Programs in Accounting, Management, and Development Economics received awards for achieving Full Accredited status at the international level. This achievement indicates that these programs have met global quality standards in curriculum design, governance, teaching and learning quality, quality assurance systems, as well as the strengthening of international networks and collaborations.
Furthermore, the Bachelor’s Programs in Development Economics and Management were also awarded for achieving the highest national accreditation status, Unggul. This recognition underscores FEB USU’s consistency in maintaining the quality of higher education and strengthening its sustainable quality assurance system. These national and international accreditation achievements serve as a strong foundation for FEB USU to continue advancing academic innovation, enhancing graduate quality, and expanding institutional competitiveness at both national and global levels.
