The Qualified Risk Management Officer (QRMO) training and certification program serves as a strategic initiative to enhance risk management competencies based on international standards, with involvement from Universitas Sumatera Utara academics.
As part of efforts to strengthen human resource capacity in risk management, a Qualified Risk Management Officer (QRMO) training and certification program was conducted based on SNI ISO 31000 standards. The program aims to equip participants with both theoretical understanding and practical skills in managing risks effectively within organizations.
The QRMO certification is designed for entry-level participants and organizational staff involved in risk management processes. Through this program, participants gain knowledge of risk management principles, frameworks, and applications, enabling them to function as facilitators in organizational risk management practices.
The training materials cover risk management principles, ISO 31000-based frameworks, implementation of risk processes, and integration of risk management into governance practices and Environmental, Social, and Governance. Participants also receive insights into organizational structure, leadership, and risk-based reporting.
The program is delivered through intensive sessions combining theoretical learning and practical exercises, including certification exam simulations. Participants who meet competency standards will receive certification and are required to maintain their competencies through continuous professional development programs.
The Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Sumatera Utara, contributed to this program through the involvement of its academics. Prof. Erlina, S.E., M.Si., Ph.D., Ak., CA, CMA delivered the opening remarks, emphasizing the importance of integrated risk management in supporting good governance practices.
Through this program, participants are expected to enhance their professional competencies in risk management and contribute to effective and sustainable organizational governance.
