The Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Sumatera Utara (FEB USU), officially welcomed the assessment team from the Independent Accreditation Agency for Economics, Management, Business, and Accounting (LAMEMBA) as part of the field assessment process for the Undergraduate Accounting Study Program. The assessment was conducted from Tuesday to Friday, April 28–May 1, 2026, at Prof. Dr. Soehadji Hadibroto Hall, Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Sumatera Utara.
The Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Sumatera Utara (FEB USU), officially welcomed the assessment team from the Independent Accreditation Agency for Economics, Management, Business, and Accounting (LAMEMBA) as part of the field assessment process for the Undergraduate Accounting Study Program. The assessment was conducted from Tuesday to Friday, April 28–May 1, 2026, at Prof. Dr. Soehadji Hadibroto Hall, Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Sumatera Utara.
The field assessment constitutes an essential stage in the accreditation process aimed at evaluating the academic quality, institutional governance, and overall implementation of higher education standards within the study program. This activity also reflects the commitment of the Undergraduate Accounting Study Program FEB USU to continuously maintain and improve the quality of education, research, community service, and institutional management in accordance with national higher education standards and LAMEMBA accreditation criteria.
The assessment team consisted of Dr. Dian Indri Purnamasari, M.Si., Ak., CA from Universitas Pembangunan Nasional Veteran Yogyakarta and Dr. Mulia Saputra, S.E., Ak., M.Si., CA from Universitas Syiah Kuala. The assessors were officially welcomed by the leadership of Universitas Sumatera Utara and the Faculty of Economics and Business.
The opening session of the field assessment was attended by the Vice Rector I of Universitas Sumatera Utara, Prof. Dr. Poppy Anjelisa Zaitun Hasibuan, S.Si., M.Si., Apt., and the Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business USU, Dr. Fadli, S.E., M.Si. Their presence demonstrated the university’s strong support for continuous quality improvement and institutional excellence.
In her remarks, the Vice Rector I of USU emphasized that the field assessment should not merely be viewed as part of the accreditation process, but also as an important opportunity for institutional reflection and evaluation in enhancing the quality of higher education services sustainably. She further stated that Universitas Sumatera Utara remains committed to supporting every study program in achieving academic excellence and strengthening its competitiveness at both national and international levels.
Meanwhile, the Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business USU, Dr. Fadli, S.E., M.Si., expressed appreciation for the presence of the LAMEMBA assessors and affirmed the readiness of the Undergraduate Accounting Study Program to undergo the entire assessment process. According to him, accreditation serves as a strategic effort to reinforce the culture of quality assurance within the faculty while improving the competitiveness of graduates in professional and academic fields.
Throughout the assessment process, the assessors conducted a series of evaluation activities, including the review of academic documents, assessment of teaching and learning processes, discussions with faculty and study program leaders, as well as interviews with lecturers, administrative staff, students, alumni, and industry partners. In addition, the assessment team also reviewed the supporting facilities and infrastructure available at the Faculty of Economics and Business USU.
Through this field assessment, the Undergraduate Accounting Study Program FEB USU is expected to further strengthen its academic quality and institutional performance while continuing to produce graduates who are professional, competent, and highly competitive in response to the evolving demands of the accounting profession and the global workforce.
