Medan, August 13, 2026 — The Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Sumatera Utara (FEB USU), continued the second day of the Pengenalan Kehidupan Kampus bagi Mahasiswa Baru (PKKMB) by providing new students with an introduction to the academic and learning systems at the university.
The activity served as an important opportunity to help new students understand the various academic aspects they will encounter throughout their studies at FEB USU. Students were introduced to lecture systems and mechanisms, academic services, and various learning platforms that support the educational process at USU.
Through this orientation, new students are expected to understand their rights and responsibilities as university students, participate effectively in lectures, and make optimal use of available academic facilities and services. Early exposure to these systems is also expected to help students adapt to the academic environment and culture of higher education.
Beyond providing technical information, the activity marked an initial step toward developing students' independence and readiness for their academic journey at FEB USU. Students were encouraged to actively participate in the learning process, take responsibility for their studies, and continuously develop their potential and competencies.
The PKKMB activity aligns with Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 4: Quality Education by strengthening students' understanding of academic systems and learning processes. It also supports SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals through collaboration among the faculty, teaching staff, administrative staff, and various service units in providing academic support for new students.
