The Undergraduate in Accounting Study Program (ProAksi) of the Universitas Sumatera Utara proudly held the International Summer Course 2024 on August 19, 2024, which was officially opened by the Dean of FEB USU, Dr. Fadli SE., M.Si. together with the Head of the Undergraduate in Accounting Study Program, Dr. Rina Br. Bukit SE., M.Si., Ak., C.A. The event was lively and attended by participants from various international universities as well as practitioners and academics in the accounting and digital technology field.
In his remarks, the Dean of FEB USU conveyed how important digital transformation is in the accounting world and how this program is expected to provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of the latest developments in the industry. “This event is not only about learning but also about global collaboration that will strengthen our position in facing challenges in the digital era,” he said.
Meanwhile, the Head of the FEB USU Undergraduate in Accounting Study Program emphasized the importance of innovation and adaptation in facing rapid changes in the accounting world. He hopes this program can be a forum for students and other participants to develop new skills relevant to industry needs. “Through the International Summer Course 2024, we hope to produce accountants who understand theory and are also able to apply digital technology in practice,” he added.
The opening ceremony also marked the start of a series of exciting activities that will take place over the next two weeks, where participants will engage in various classes, discussions, and field trips, all focused on revolutionizing accounting in the digital age.
