The inauguration marked an important moment in strengthening the relationship between alumni, the Management Science Doctoral Program, and the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Sumatera Utara. The Alumni Association is expected to serve as a platform for strengthening communication and building collaboration among graduates, while also supporting the academic and professional development of alumni.

Based on the Decree of the Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Sumatera Utara, concerning the Appointment of the Management Science Doctoral Program Alumni Association Management Board of FEB USU for the 2026–2031 Period, Prof. Dr. Yeni Absah, SE, M.Si, was appointed as Chairperson of the Advisory Board, Dr. Syahyunan, SE, M.Si, as Secretary of the Advisory Board, and Dr. Dicky Ardiansyah Aceh, M.Si, as Chairperson of the Alumni Association.

In the management structure, the position of Vice Chairperson I is held by Dr. Erwansyah, SE, MM, CMRM; Vice Chairperson II by Dr. Fadli, SE, M.Si; Secretary by Dr. Nurul Wardani Lubis, SE, M.Si; and Treasurer by Dr. Dina Sarah Syahreza, SE, M.Si. The management structure also includes Vice Secretaries I and II as well as Vice Treasurers I and II.

To support the implementation of its work programs, the Management Science Doctoral Program Alumni Association has several divisions, namely the Science and Technology Division, Organizational Development Division, Public Relations Division, Research and Community Service Division, and Media and Information Division. Each division has coordinators and members appointed as part of the management structure for the 2026–2031 Period.

The inauguration activity also supports the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4: Quality Education, through strengthening alumni relations and contributions to educational development and the academic environment. In addition, this activity is in line with SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals, through strengthening networks and collaboration among alumni, the study program, the faculty, and various relevant parties.

With the establishment of the 2026–2031 management board, the Management Science Doctoral Program Alumni Association of FEB USU is expected to play an active role in building alumni networks, strengthening synergy with the study program and faculty, and promoting various activities that contribute to the development of management science and the advancement of the alma mater.

The inauguration also marked the beginning of the new management period of the Management Science Doctoral Program Alumni Association of FEB USU in carrying out its role and responsibilities in strengthening relationships, networks, and collaboration between alumni and the alma mater.
