The webinar highlighted the importance of transparent and accountable financial management in mosques to enhance public trust and ensure proper management of community funds.

The Indonesian Institute of Accountants (IAI) North Sumatra Region organized a webinar titled “Mosque Accounting: Transparent and Accountable Financial Governance.” The webinar was held online via Zoom Meeting on Saturday, July 12, 2025.

 

Mosques not only function as places of worship but also as institutions managing community funds such as donations, alms, endowments, and social programs. Therefore, implementing transparent and accountable financial reporting practices is crucial.

 

The speakers included Prof. Dr. Maya Sari, SE, Ak, M.Si, CA and Dr. Nurlaila, SE., M.A., CMA., CAPF., CIBA., CERA, with Selfi Afriani Gultom, SE., Ak., M.Si., CA serving as the moderator. The webinar aimed to enhance the understanding of mosque administrators and the public regarding proper financial governance in accordance with Islamic principles and regulatory standards.
