IAI North Sumatra Holds Coretax Implementation Socialization Webinar to Support Digital Tax Administration Transformation
The Indonesian Institute of Accountants (IAI) North Sumatra Region organized a webinar titled “Socialization of Coretax Implementation” on Thursday, March 6, 2025, conducted online via Zoom Meeting.
The event aimed to introduce Coretax, an information technology platform developed by the Directorate General of Taxes (DGT) to support a more efficient, transparent, and modern tax administration system.
Through this session, participants gained insights into the implementation of Coretax across various tax administration processes, including tax reporting, tax payment, and digital tax management. The webinar featured Muan Ridhani Panjaitan, Junior Tax Counselor from the Regional Office of the Directorate General of Taxes North Sumatra I, as the keynote speaker.
The session was moderated by Harun Ongah, CA, a member of the Taxation Division of IAI North Sumatra, and was officially opened by Prof. Erlina, CA, Chair of the IAI North Sumatra Region. The program aimed to enhance the understanding of practitioners, academics, students, and taxpayers regarding the Coretax system and to support the implementation of digital tax administration in Indonesia.
This activity aligns with Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 4: Quality Education by strengthening literacy and professional competencies in taxation and digital administration systems. It also supports SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals through collaboration between Ikatan Akuntan Indonesia and the Directorate General of Taxes in advancing national tax system transformation.
