The Master's Program in Accounting, Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Sumatera Utara (FEB USU), successfully underwent the LAMEMBA On-Site Assessment on 10–11 April 2026. The assessment constituted an important stage in the accreditation process, serving as a comprehensive evaluation of the program's implementation of higher education activities in education, research, and community engagement, as well as its Internal Quality Assurance System. The opening ceremony was officiated by Prof. Dr. Eng. Himsar Ambarita, S.T., M.T., Vice Rector III for Research, Innovation, and Partnerships of Universitas Sumatera Utara, followed by remarks from Dr. Fadli, S.E., M.Si., Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business.

The on-site assessment was conducted by two distinguished LAMEMBA assessors: Prof. Drs. Bambang Agus Pramuka, M.A., Ph.D., Ak., CA., CRMP. from Universitas Jenderal Soedirman and Dr. Rita Rahayu, S.E., M.Si., Ak., CA., CRA., CRP. from Universitas Andalas. In addition to being welcomed by the leadership of Universitas Sumatera Utara and the Faculty of Economics and Business, the assessors met with the management of the Master's Program in Accounting, academic staff, administrative personnel, students, alumni, employers, and other key stakeholders.

Throughout the two-day assessment, the assessors verified the accreditation documents and evaluated the implementation of various aspects of the program, including governance, curriculum, human resources, research, community engagement, academic partnerships, educational outcomes, and the Internal Quality Assurance System. The assessment also included a series of interviews with the University leadership, Faculty management, academic staff, students, alumni, and graduate employers to gain a comprehensive understanding of the academic quality and overall performance of the Master's Program in Accounting at FEB USU.

The assessment was successfully conducted through the strong collaboration and commitment of the entire academic community, supported by the collective efforts of all parties involved in preparing every stage of the accreditation process. Through this assessment, the Master's Program in Accounting at FEB USU reaffirmed its commitment to fostering a culture of continuous quality improvement and enhancing the quality of its educational services in accordance with the standards established by LAMEMBA.

The outcomes of the assessment are expected to provide strategic direction for the continuous development and enhancement of the Master's Program in Accounting. More importantly, they will support the program's ongoing commitment to producing graduates who are academically excellent, professionally competent, ethically grounded, and globally competitive.
