The Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Sumatera Utara (FEB USU), proudly announces that its Master's Program in Accounting has officially been awarded Excellent Accreditation by the Independent Accreditation Agency for Economics, Management, Business, and Accounting (LAMEMBA). The accreditation result was announced on 24 May 2026 through LAMEMBA Executive Board Decree No. 096/DE/A.5/LAMEMBA-U/V/2026 concerning the Excellent Accreditation Status of the Master's Program in Accounting at Universitas Sumatera Utara. The accreditation is valid from 18 May 2026 to 18 May 2031.
The achievement is the culmination of a comprehensive accreditation process, including the LAMEMBA On-Site Assessment conducted on 10–11 April 2026. During the assessment, the assessors conducted a thorough evaluation of the program's academic operations, governance, human resources, research, community engagement, collaborative partnerships, and the outcomes of its core higher education missions. These evaluations formed the basis for assessing the overall quality and performance of the Master's Program in Accounting at FEB USU.
Receiving the Excellent Accreditation reflects the Master's Program in Accounting's strong commitment to implementing a sustainable Internal Quality Assurance System while continuously delivering high-quality higher education. The accreditation also signifies that the program has successfully met the quality standards established by LAMEMBA for higher education in the fields of economics, management, business, and accounting.
This accomplishment is the result of the collective dedication and collaborative efforts of the entire academic community of the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Sumatera Utara, including the University leadership, Faculty management, program administrators, academic staff, administrative personnel, students, alumni, graduate employers, and collaborative partners who actively contributed throughout the accreditation process.
The attainment of Excellent Accreditation further strengthens the position of the Master's Program in Accounting at FEB USU as a program committed to academic excellence, research development, and meaningful community engagement. Moving forward, the program will continue to foster innovation in teaching and learning, expand strategic collaborations, and enhance the quality of its graduates to ensure they remain globally competitive and capable of making significant contributions to the advancement of the accounting profession and discipline at both the national and international levels.
