Medan, August 12, 2026 – The Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Sumatera Utara (FEB USU), welcomed new students through the 2026 Campus Life Introduction Program for New Students (PKKMB) of FEB USU on Wednesday (August 12). The activity marked an important first step for new students to become more familiar with the academic environment, culture, and student life at FEB USU.
The new students participating in the 2026 PKKMB FEB USU were admitted through various selection pathways, namely the National Selection Based on Achievement (SNBP), which considers academic achievements and report cards; the National Selection Based on Test (SNBT) through the Computer-Based Written Test (UTBK); and the Independent Selection pathway of Universitas Sumatera Utara.
The new students come from five study programs within FEB USU: Management, Accounting, Development Economics, Entrepreneurship, and Islamic Economics.
The activities began with the opening of the USU 2026 PKKMB, after which the new students were directed to their respective faculties. Upon arriving at FEB USU, the students were welcomed and introduced to the faculty through a faculty profile video, a welcome address by the Dean of FEB USU, an introduction to the faculty leadership, and a presentation on the vision and mission of FEB USU.
The new students were also introduced to various student achievements, the implementation of the Three Pillars of Higher Education (Tridharma Perguruan Tinggi), and innovations developed by FEB USU lecturers and students. This introduction is expected to provide students with an overview of the academic environment that will become part of their educational journey at FEB USU.
Through the 2026 PKKMB, FEB USU is committed to creating a positive initial experience for new students while preparing them to become academically driven individuals who are well-rounded, adaptive, accomplished, and capable of contributing to challenges at both national and global levels.
The 2026 PKKMB FEB USU will continue with various academic briefings, character development activities, introductions to student life, and sessions designed to prepare students for university life.
