FEB USU continues to make international achievements. Six of its students earned a Gold Medal in the Tertiary Level category at the prestigious World Young Inventors Exhibition (WYIE) 2025, held by the Malaysian Invention and Design Society (MINDS) from May 28–31, 2025, at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre, Malaysia.
The award-winning team consisted of Napoleon Bonaparte Samosir, Aidecya Nesya Goldyatamy Dalimunthe (Accounting), Sanjita Tamarai (Accounting), Chintia Zahra Harahap (Management), Putri Rahmadina Effendi (Entrepreneurship), and Muhammad Aldo Fathin Fatahillah (Development Economics).
They developed a prototype mobile application to promote sustainable economic well-being for individuals and communities. The app, showcased at the WYIE, went beyond concept to include a functional prototype.
This success underscores the ability of FEB USU students to compete at an international level, not just academically but also through technological innovation with social and economic impact. The faculty congratulates the team and hopes this achievement inspires more students to unlock their potential and embrace global challenges.
This achievement aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4 (Quality Education) through the enhancement of students’ competencies, creativity, and innovation; SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being) through innovations that support community welfare; SDG 1 (No Poverty) through the development of sustainable economic solutions; and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) through international collaboration in innovation and global competitions.
