Lecturers from the Islamic Economics Study Program, Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Sumatera Utara (FEB USU), Dr. Arif Rahman, S.E., M.Ec.Dev., and Khairul Ali Hutasuhut, S.E., M.Si., served as speakers at a Workshop on the Preparation of the Regional Action Plan (RAD) for the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), held in collaboration with United Local Governments and Development Agencies (ULGC) ASPAC. The workshop aimed to strengthen capacity and collaboration in the preparation of the RAD for the SDGs.

During the workshop, the two FEB USU lecturers presented materials on the preparation of the RAD for the SDGs and regional development perspectives in supporting the achievement of SDG targets. The workshop also provided a forum for exchanging knowledge and experiences on integrating sustainable development goals into regional development planning.

The participation of Dr. Arif Rahman and Khairul Ali Hutasuhut reflects the contribution of academics to supporting development planning oriented toward achieving the SDGs. The collaboration with ULGC ASPAC also helped expand networks and facilitate knowledge exchange on sustainable development at the regional level.

Through this workshop, the preparation of the RAD for the SDGs is expected to become more focused and better equipped to accommodate various dimensions of sustainable development. The activity also strengthens the role of the Islamic Economics Study Program at FEB USU in supporting knowledge-based policy development and development planning.
