Medan, August 20, 2026 — The Period IV Graduation Evaluation for the 2025/2026 Academic Year at the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Sumatera Utara (FEB USU), continued with its second session on Wednesday, August 20, 2026. Held at the Prof. Dr. Suhadji Hadibroto Hall, FEB USU, the event began at 3:30 p.m. WIB and was attended by 201 students.
As part of the ceremony marking the transition of prospective graduates, the graduation evaluation not only signified the completion of the students’ academic journey but also provided an opportunity to offer encouragement and motivation as they prepare for the next stage of their lives. In this second session, motivational remarks were delivered by Edi Faisal Harahap, an alumnus of FEB USU.
On the occasion, participants were encouraged to use the experiences gained during their studies at FEB USU as a foundation for facing various challenges after graduation. The messages and experiences shared by the alumnus were expected to broaden students’ perspectives on the importance of lifelong learning, continuous skills development, and cultivating a professional and responsible attitude.
The involvement of alumni in the graduation evaluation is an important part of strengthening the relationship between FEB USU and its graduates. The interaction also demonstrates that the relationship between the alma mater and its alumni does not end when students complete their education but can continue to grow through the exchange of experiences, inspiration, and contributions to future generations.
With the completion of the second session, the Period IV Graduation Evaluation for the 2025/2026 Academic Year at FEB USU was attended by a total of 415 students across the two sessions. This milestone is expected to mark the beginning of a new journey for the graduates as they carry forward the competencies, values, and experiences gained during their studies at FEB USU.
The event supports Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 4: Quality Education, through efforts to strengthen educational quality and prepare graduates to face future challenges. The involvement of alumni also supports SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals, by strengthening networks and fostering sustainable relationships between higher education institutions and their alumni.
