Medan, July 30, 2026 – The Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Sumatera Utara (FEB USU), held two strategic agendas at the FEB USU Auditorium Meeting Room: the signing of Performance Contracts between the Dean and the Heads of Study Programs, and the election of the Chair and Secretary of the Faculty Representative Council (Dewan Perwakilan Fakultas/DPF). These initiatives reflect the faculty's commitment to strengthening institutional governance, enhancing accountability, and supporting the achievement of its strategic performance targets.

The first agenda featured the signing of Performance Contracts by the Dean of FEB USU together with the Heads of the Undergraduate Study Programs in Accounting, Management, Development Economics, Entrepreneurship, and Islamic Economics, as well as the Graduate and Doctoral Study Programs in Economics, Management, and Accounting. The signing of these contracts represents a shared commitment to achieving performance targets aligned with the faculty's vision and mission while fostering continuous improvement in education, research, community engagement, and professional, results-oriented governance.

On the same occasion, the election of the Faculty Representative Council (DPF) leadership was also conducted. Following the election process, Prof. Dr. Khaira Amalia Fachrudin, S.E., Ak., M.B.A. was elected as Chair of the Faculty Representative Council, while Dr. Arif Rahman, S.E., M.Ec.Dev. was elected as Secretary. The newly elected leadership is expected to strengthen the role of the DPF as a strategic partner of the faculty leadership by providing valuable input on academic and institutional policies while contributing to the continued development of the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Sumatera Utara.

The implementation of these two important agendas reflects FEB USU's commitment to promoting transparent, accountable, and collaborative governance. Strengthening both the faculty's performance management system and its institutional governance serves as a solid foundation for fostering an academic environment that is innovative, adaptive, and globally competitive.

These initiatives are also aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4: Quality Education, through continuous efforts to enhance the quality of higher education, and SDG 16: Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions, by reinforcing effective, participatory, and accountable institutional governance. Through the collective commitment of all members of the faculty, FEB USU remains dedicated to advancing high-quality governance as the cornerstone of an excellent and sustainable higher education institution.
