Medan, August 21, 2026 — The Faculty of Economics and Business at Universitas Sumatera Utara (FEB USU) held an Orientation and Campus Life Introduction Program (PKKMB) for new Master’s and Doctoral students for the 2026/2027 Academic Year on Friday, August 21. Held at the Prof. Dr. Suhadji Hadibroto Hall of FEB USU, the event formed part of the faculty’s welcome and orientation program, introducing new postgraduate students to the academic environment at FEB USU.

The program began with an introduction to the leadership of the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Sumatera Utara. Students were then introduced to the heads and secretaries of the study programs, as well as administrative staff from each study program within FEB USU. This introduction was intended to help students understand the faculty’s academic structure and identify the relevant contacts who can support them throughout their studies.
The event continued with the presentation of information on academic administrative procedures. The session covered key administrative information and procedures that students need to understand during their studies, providing them with a clearer understanding of academic services, administrative processes, and other requirements at FEB USU.

Through this program, FEB USU seeks to ensure that new students receive comprehensive information from the beginning of their academic journey. A better understanding of the academic and administrative systems is expected to support students in managing their studies in an orderly, independent, and effective manner.
The orientation also reflects FEB USU’s commitment to creating an inclusive, informative, and supportive learning environment that promotes students’ academic success. By becoming familiar with the organizational structure, study programs, and academic service procedures from the outset, students are expected to adapt more easily and build effective communication with members of the academic community within the faculty.
The implementation of this program is aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4: Quality Education, by strengthening access to information and educational services that support students throughout their learning journey. The program also supports SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals by fostering communication and collaboration among faculty leaders, study programs, administrative staff, and students in creating a high-quality educational ecosystem.
Through this orientation program, FEB USU welcomes its new Master’s and Doctoral students as they begin their academic journey with a better understanding of the academic environment, systems, and educational services available at FEB USU.
