Medan – The Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB), Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU), held an Advanced Econometrics Workshop for students of the Master’s and Doctoral Programs in Economics on Saturday, October 17, 2026. The event took place from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. WIB in the Multimedia Room of the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Sumatera Utara.
The workshop featured Dr. Kamal Fachrurrozi, S.E., M.Si. as the speaker. The activity was organized as part of the academic development initiatives for postgraduate students, particularly to deepen their understanding and strengthen their ability to apply advanced econometric methods in scientific research.
Through this workshop, students were expected to enhance their quantitative data analysis skills and develop their ability to apply econometric approaches to support high-quality research. Proficiency in econometric methods is an essential component in producing systematic, accurate, and scientifically accountable research.
The workshop reflects FEB USU’s commitment to improving the quality of postgraduate education and strengthening students’ research capacity. This initiative also supports Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 4: Quality Education, by promoting academic competency development and improving the quality of higher education.
