Medan, August 17, 2026 — The Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) of Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) participated in the celebration of the 81st Anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Indonesia, held within the Universitas Sumatera Utara campus on August 17, 2026.

To commemorate the anniversary of Indonesia’s independence, Universitas Sumatera Utara organized various competitions involving units across the university. The activities served as an opportunity to strengthen solidarity while fostering sportsmanship, creativity, and teamwork among university units.

The Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Sumatera Utara, was one of the faculties that actively participated in the series of competitions. With a strong spirit of solidarity and enthusiasm, FEB USU representatives achieved several awards across various competition categories.

The achievements earned by FEB USU during the celebration of the 81st Anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Indonesia were as follows:

  1. 1st Place – Beginner Category Tennis
  2. 1st Place – Women’s Baklak
  3. 1st Favorite Winner – TikTok Content Competition
  4. 2nd Place – Women’s Sack Race
  5. 2nd Place – Funnel Ball
  6. 2nd Place – Chants Competition
  7. 2nd Place – Photography Competition
  8. 3rd Place – Men’s Sack Race
  9. 3rd Place – Men’s Baklak

The series of competitions served not only as a platform for competition but also as an opportunity to strengthen solidarity and foster a sense of community among members of the academic community. FEB USU’s participation demonstrated that the spirit of achievement can go hand in hand with the spirit of unity and togetherness.

These achievements would not have been possible without the support and collaboration of everyone involved, from participants and organizers to the FEB USU community, who provided support throughout the activities.

Through the celebration of the 81st Anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Indonesia, FEB USU hopes that the spirit of sportsmanship, creativity, solidarity, and achievement will continue to grow and become part of a positive culture at Universitas Sumatera Utara.

The activity also reflects FEB USU’s commitment to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 1: No Poverty, SDG 2: Zero Hunger, SDG 3: Good Health and Well-Being, SDG 4: Quality Education, and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals, through strengthening solidarity, promoting health, developing potential, and fostering collaboration among university units.
