The Faculty of Economics and Business of Universitas Sumatera Utara (FEB USU) held a lecture preparation meeting for the odd semester of the 2024/2025 academic year on Thursday, August 8, 2024. This meeting took place at 10.00 AM in Prof. Dr. Suhadji Hadibroto Hall and was attended by all lecturers and dean's staff.

The Faculty of Economics and Business of Universitas Sumatera Utara (FEB USU) held a lecture preparation meeting for the odd semester of the 2024/2025 academic year on Thursday, August 8, 2024. This meeting took place at 10.00 AM in Prof. Dr. Suhadji Hadibroto Hall and was attended by all lecturers and dean's staff.

The meeting was opened by Vice Dean I, Dr. Amlys Syahputra Silalahi, SE, M.Si, who explained several important issues related to student affairs. He explained various obstacles faced by students, such as SPP payment problems, KRS filling, and curriculum improvements related to excess credits. In addition, Dr. Amlys also discussed the Lecturer Performance Load (BKD) obligations that lecturers must meet in the coming semester.

 

 

Furthermore, Vice Dean II, Mrs. Inneke Qamariah SE., M.Si., discussed financial aspects and Human Resources (HR). She announced the latest schedule for inputting and paying lecturers' honorariums and discussed the site visit plan from the Foundation for International Business Administration Accreditation (FIBAA), which will be conducted soon. This site visit is an important step for FEB USU in maintaining and improving educational quality standards.

Vice Dean III, Dr. Paidi SE, M.Si., who oversees research, service, cooperation, and public relations, provided the latest update regarding the ratio of publications per lecturer. He revealed that the ratio of publications per lecturer has increased significantly, and the contribution of lecturers in research and community service until 2023 is very satisfactory. Dr. Paidi also explained research funding from internal and external sources, as well as the achievements of FEB USU in collaborating with various parties.

During the meeting, 19 new prospective civil servant lecturers who will join FEB USU were also introduced. Their presence is expected to strengthen the teaching ranks and improve the quality of education in the faculty.

 

 

The meeting was closed with a question-and-answer session between lecturers and the dean, during which various questions and suggestions were raised to improve the lecture system and student services. This meeting was held to evaluate and set targets for the achievements of FEB USU lecturers in the future, with the hope that this faculty can continue to make the best contribution to the world of education and research.
