The Faculty of Economics and Business of the Universitas Sumatera Utara (FEB USU) held a FIBAA (Foundation for International Business Administration Accreditation) assessment simulation for the Accounting, Economics Development, Management, and Agribusiness Study Programs, which are included in cluster 3 of the FIBAA international accreditation assessment. This activity was held on Friday and Saturday, August 9-10, 2024, from 08.00 AM to 05.00 PM at the Prof. Dr. Suhadji Hadibroto Hall Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Sumatera Utara.

This simulation was guided by two expert lecturers from the Faculty of Economics and Business of the Universitas Andalas, Mr. Arie Sukma, SE. M.Sc., and Dr. Fauzan Misra, SE, M.Sc, Ak, CA. It is part of preparing for the upcoming FIBAA international accreditation visitation.

On the first day of the simulation, a question-and-answer session was held between the experts, the faculty, and the study program team, which consisted of lecturers and the FIBAA accreditation drafting team. This discussion aimed to provide an in-depth understanding of the criteria and standards that will be assessed in the accreditation process.

On the second day, the question-and-answer session continued, involving students, alumni, and education staff from each study program. Through this interaction, it is hoped that all parties involved will have a better understanding of the preparation required and can provide constructive input in strengthening the accreditation form.

This simulation will provide a comprehensive picture of the actual FIBAA accreditation visitation process. With this preparation, the faculty team and study programs are expected to be more prepared and confident in facing the FIBAA accreditation assessment, achieving optimal results and bringing the good name of the Faculty of Economics and Business of Universitas Sumatera Utara to the international arena.

This activity is also one of FEB USU's strategic steps in improving the quality of education and international competitiveness, in line with the university's vision to become a superior educational institution globally.
