The undergraduate economic development study program at the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Sumatera Utara (FEB USU), held a teaching material quality improvement boot camp on 17-18 February 2024 at Niagara Hotel, Lake Toba. This activity aimed to improve lecturers' understanding and skills in developing effective and relevant teaching materials for the independent curriculum's needs.

This boot camp focused on designing quality teaching materials that can improve student understanding and support graduate competencies in the global era. The participants were provided material on preparing teaching materials, learning evaluation, and designing Semester Learning Plans (RPS) and syllabi according to FIBAA (Foundation for International Business Administration Accreditation) standards.

Thirty-five lecturers of the Undergraduate Economic Development Study Program attended the event. The opening was held at 2:25 PM on 17 February, followed by various sessions of material presentation and discussion led by experienced resource persons in higher education.

This activity aims to help lecturers improve the quality of teaching materials they deliver to students. Good teaching materials are expected to make the learning process more effective, help students understand the material better, and enrich their learning experience.

The boot camp took place over two days, from Saturday, 17 February to Sunday, 18 February 2024, at Niagara Hotel, Lake Toba, which was chosen to provide a conducive atmosphere for intensive training activities.

The activities included material presentations, Q&A discussions, and independent assignments designed to deepen participants' understanding. The first day included material on preparing teaching materials and learning evaluation, while the second day focused on the RPS and syllabus adjusted to international standards.

Through this activity, it is hoped that lecturers will be able to implement this new knowledge in teaching, which can support the improvement of the quality of education at FEB USU.
