The Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Sumatera Utara (FEB USU), once again recorded a noteworthy achievement through the CekrekBox Team, a group of students from the Entrepreneurship Study Program of FEB USU, who attained Third Place at the national level in the Indonesian Student Entrepreneurship Expo (KMI Expo) XVI 2025.
KMI Expo XVI 2025 was held at Universitas Tidar, Magelang, Central Java, from 17 to 21 November 2025, and was attended by selected student teams from universities across Indonesia. At this event, the CekrekBox Team from USU presented an innovative product in the form of a mobilized fully automated photobooth—an entrepreneurial solution based on technology that integrates automation, visual experience, and commercial value.
The achievement of Third Place at the national level by the CekrekBox Team was supported by continuous academic mentoring. Throughout the preparation process and during the competition in Magelang, the team received direct guidance from Arif Qaedi Hutagalung, a lecturer and Secretary of the Entrepreneurship Study Program at FEB USU, who supervised the students from the initial development stage, business idea curation, to the presentation and exhibition sessions at KMI Expo XVI 2025.
This achievement demonstrates the competitiveness of students from the Entrepreneurship Study Program of FEB USU in developing innovative business ideas that are relevant to market needs and capable of competing at the national level. It also reflects the effectiveness of entrepreneurship development initiatives at FEB USU in encouraging students to produce applicable products and business models.
The participation and success of the CekrekBox Team at KMI Expo XVI 2025 serve not only as a source of pride for the Entrepreneurship Study Program but also for the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Sumatera Utara as a whole. This accomplishment reaffirms FEB USU’s commitment to fostering young entrepreneurs who are innovative, adaptive, and highly competitive.
