The Faculty of Economics and Business at Universitas Sumatera Utara (FEB USU) hosted a benchmarking visit from the Development Economics Study Program of Universitas Teuku Umar (UTU), Meulaboh. The visit aimed to enhance insights into accreditation and quality assurance of study programs.
The delegation from UTU was led by the Head of the Development Economics Study Program, the Program Secretary, the Head of the Quality Assurance Team members, and the Development Economics Laboratory Head. The delegation was warmly welcomed by FEB USU Vice Dean I, Dr. Amlys Syahputra Silalahi, SE., M.Si., the Head of the Development Economics Study Program, Inggrita Gusti Sari Nasution, SE., M.Si., and the Secretary of the Development Economics Study Program, Dr. Monika Andrasari, SE., M.Si.
During the meeting held in the FEB USU conference room, Dr. Amlys Syahputra Silalahi, SE., M.Si., presented the accreditation system and quality assurance implemented at FEB USU, including efforts to achieve excellent accreditation. Meanwhile, Inggrita Gusti Sari Nasution, SE., M.Si., shared best practices in curriculum and laboratory management among the strengths of the Development Economics Study Program at FEB USU.
The interactive discussion, filled with enthusiasm, covered strategic topics such as document management for accreditation, quality assurance strategies, and the development of facilities and infrastructure supporting learning. As part of the agenda, the UTU delegation also had the opportunity to visit the laboratory facilities at FEB USU.
The Head of the Development Economics Study Program at UTU expressed gratitude for FEB USU's warm and welcoming reception. The results of this benchmarking are hoped to inspire the development of UTU's Development Economics Study Program, particularly in improving academic quality and educational services.
The activity concluded with a group photo session, symbolizing the close collaboration and partnership between Universitas Teuku Umar and Universitas Sumatera Utara. FEB USU welcomes such visits as part of its commitment to strengthening inter-university relations to improve the quality of higher education in Indonesia.
